A giclee print of my original watercolour painting of a beautiful woman from the Hamer tribe, in the Lower Omo Valley, Ethiopia.

This is a high quality print, on Hahnemule paper, which has a beautiful texture, like watercolour paper. I have photographed it next to the original painting so you can see how faithful the colours are.

    • I use a local printer for my giclee prints, here's how they explain their technique:

The word Giclée (“g-clay”), is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray”. Giclée, is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper to achieve prints of superior quality, light-fastness and stability. Our Giclée prints are created using an Epson 7890 with Epson pigment inks, which, with the 9 channel print head, is capable of producing an extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut

    • The size of the print is about A4, 297x210mm
    • The actual printed area is 190x 225mm
    • The print comes cello-wrapped and backed with re-purposed carboard, it weighs about 50g
    • Each print is carefully wrapped for postage.
