Wow, incredibly exciting news this week... my painting "Little House, Big Banana Leaves" has been selected by the Royal Watercolour Society for the annual Contemporary Watercolour competition at Bankside Gallery!
I am so excited, this is my first Big Thing in the world of art, my first "prestigious" competition/exhibition! I can't explain how much this means to me, it feels like it validates everything that I am doing.
I will quote the promotional material to help explain- "This Royal Watercolour Society annual competition aims to encourage innovation and experimentation in all water-based media and provides a prestigious platform for both established and emerging artists. Works are selected by a distinguished panel of judges who work in diverse areas of the contemporary art world. They are seeking pieces which represent the most accomplished works in this field."
Her Majesty the Queen is a patron. Wow wow wow.
The exhibition is on from 3-15th March, (Bankside Gallery is next to Tate Modern) so do please come along!
